Babywearing Wins

Babywearing.
Weird term, isn't it.

I have always "worn" my kids, but I called it "carrying her in the sling so I can get things done".
Because that is exactly why I did it.

My oldest was born in the middle of a semester, my first year of college.
I had envisioned her sleeping, a lot.  Like at least a two hours.  And sleeping all by herself.
That never happened.
So I pulled out my sling and it was magical.

She was suddenly content and not crying and I could do things!

When I had my second, I bought a double stroller.
Because that made sense, right?
I had two kids in two years.
Except it was big and bulky and a pain the butt to get in and out of the car.  And a pain in the butt going over crappy sidewalks and a pain in the butt to try to go shopping with.

Back to the sling.
My magical little thing.

And with my baby, well, I was far too busy NOT to use a baby sling.
I had a life that was not stopping.  I had cheerleading practice and classes, and laundry and dishes and grocery shopping.
I literally do everything wearing her.
Seriously.
I did a funny parent team for my daughter's cheerleading nationals.  With her strapped to my chest almost every practice.

It's really beneficial to babies too.
They always feel secure, being held.

Babywearing wins.  For everyone.
